QUETTA: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of JUI-F, has declared that the United States’ era of superpower status has ended.
He called on Pakistani leaders to break free from what he described as American domination and take a stand. Fazlur Rehman questioned why Pakistani leaders have not openly expressed support for the people of Gaza, especially in light of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for Israel.
Speaking at the Al-Aqsa Flood Conference in Quetta, he voiced concern for the worsening situation in Palestine and criticized the world’s silence regarding Israel’s actions.
He warned that failing to support the Palestinians would signify ongoing subservience to external powers. Fazlur Rehman also cautioned that if the rulers continued to exhibit “cowardice,” the Pakistani nation would revolt against them. He commended the conference for sending a strong message of solidarity with Palestine.
Fazlur Rehman stated that the honor of the Pakistani people is connected to that of the Palestinians and alleged that the “global Jewish lobby’s agenda in Pakistan has been defeated.”
Additionally, he criticized the treatment of mujahideen in Afghanistan by the US, highlighting the stark contrast in how human rights were applied.
Fazlur Rehman accused Israel of adopting a similar stance toward Hamas. He concluded by urging Pakistani rulers to break free from what he considered American bondage, specifically citing Indian PM Modi’s support for Israel and challenging the rulers’ authority.
