Imran Riaz Khan, a YouTuber and television anchor, was apprehended two days after widespread protests erupted throughout the country following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan on May 9.

He was last seen being taken to the Cantt police station following his arrest and subsequently to Sialkot prison.

On May 15, a legal representative informed the Lahore High Court (LHC) that the anchorperson had been released from prison after providing a written assurance. However, his whereabouts remained unknown.

As a result, Imran’s alleged abduction prompted the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) with Sialkot Civil Lines police on May 16, based on a complaint from his father, Muhammad Riaz.

Punjab Inspector General (IG) Dr. Usman Anwar and Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Hassan Iqbal have confirmed to Private Media that Imran Riaz Khan is now “safely back home.”
