Ogra Raises LPG Prices in Response to Soaring Oil Costs

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has responded to the recent surge in oil prices by raising LPG prices as well.

After the increase in petrol prices, LPG has seen a rise of Rs 38.97 per kilogram, leading Ogra to issue a notification regarding the LPG price hike.

In the wake of this price hike, the cost of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has risen by Rs 459.85, reaching Rs 2,833.49.

According to the latest Ogra notification, the new rate for LPG per kilogram is now set at Rs 240.12, with the price increase taking immediate effect.

It’s worth noting that petroleum product prices also experienced an overnight increase, with petrol climbing by Rs 14.91 per liter and diesel seeing an approved hike of Rs 18.44 per liter.

Meanwhile, in response to the surge in oil prices, the railways have implemented a 5% increase in train fares.
