ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has called on the public to express solidarity with the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on May 6, Saturday, as he faces targeting by a ‘mafia.’
Speaking to PTI workers and supporters before appearing before the IHC in Islamabad, Khan criticized the ruling coalition for going against the Constitution and the CJP, and accused them of causing unemployment and inflation in the country. Despite swelling in his feet, Khan is set to appear before the high court and will lead rallies in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar. Khan also reiterated that the PTI’s decision to dissolve Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assemblies was the party’s constitutional right, adding that elections must be held within 90 days of assembly dissolution.
