ISLAMABAD: Utility Stores Corporation has announced the Ramadan Relief Package for 2024, valued at more than 7 billion and 49 crore rupees.
According to a private TV channel, the spokesperson of Utility Stores stated that 19 basic items will be discounted through targeted subsidies.
He mentioned that under the Ramadan relief package, discounts will also be offered on flour, sugar, ghee, edible oil, rice, pulses, dates, gram flour, milk, beverages, and spices.
The spokesperson added that the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) beneficiaries will receive targeted subsidies under the Ramadan package. Apart from the targeted subsidies, special discounted prices will also be set for general consumers.
Yesterday, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved a Ramadan relief package worth over Rs 7.49 billion for utility stores.
