ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to construct a sports enclave in Shah Allah Ditta area of Islamabad.
The facility, which will cover 300 acres of CDA land, will include a multi-purpose stadium featuring amenities such as volleyball, zip-line, rock climbing, and cricket.
The CDA Chairman, Captain (r) Noorul Amin Mengal, has ordered the preparation of PC-1 of the project and emphasized that it would promote environmental and healthy activities.
During his visit to the area, Mengal also directed for the restoration of Trail-8 and its extension from Budha’s caves to Bhudh’s Stupa to boost the attraction for tourists.
In addition, he visited sectors C-13, C-14, C-15 and C-16 and directed Member Estate and other officials to protect CDA land from encroachers. He instructed Member Estate to activate the enforcement wing to demolish all new built-up properties and secure CDA land.
