ISLAMABAD: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Tuesday that WhatsApp now allows users to log into the messaging app from multiple phones.
Previously, users could only use one WhatsApp account on one phone. However, the new feature will allow up to four devices to be linked to the same WhatsApp account, including Android tablets, companion phones, web, and other devices.
WhatsApp’s new feature will sync users’ messages across all devices and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
This means that if one device is turned off, users can still access the app on other devices. WhatsApp has over 2 billion users and is one of the biggest messaging services, with competitors like Messenger and Telegram offering multi-device sync for messages but not support for end-to-end encryption.
