ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has decided to raise the price of petrol by Rs10 per litre for the next 15 days, said Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday.

In a statement, the Finance Division said that the increase in international petroleum prices and exchange rate variation was the rationale behind the move to hike the price of petroleum products.

However, the price of kerosene oil has been increased by Rs5.78 per litre, moving from Rs180.28 per litre to Rs186.07 per litre.

This move by the government is aimed at dealing with the rising costs of petroleum products in the international market and exchange rate variations, the statement added.
