KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui held a press conference at Governor House. They announced that a memorandum of understanding has been signed between Governor Initiatives and a US company, “Cyber Range Solution.”
According to the details, Under this agreement, talented students from Sindh will receive modern IT training and job opportunities in the US and other countries with good salaries.
The US company will provide a six-month free training course to selected students. Successful students will then get job opportunities abroad.
The program is expected to create over 40,000 jobs with annual salaries ranging from $90,000 to $130,000. The company will also cover the initial educational expenses of the students.
Governor Tessori emphasized the need to update the educational curriculum to include modern IT and technology subjects. He said this would help young people compete in the global market.

He added that under Governor Initiatives, 550,000 students took IT course tests, and 50,000 passed. These students have been receiving advanced training for the past 11 months.
The governor also shared plans to set up campuses of quality educational institutions in different cities of Sindh to make modern education more accessible.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui praised the governor’s efforts, saying that Governor House has become a symbol of change. He noted that despite limited powers, the governor’s strong determination made this project possible. He also highlighted the need to improve Pakistan’s certification system, as the world recognizes the country’s skilled workers.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf met the governor and called the Governor Initiatives an excellent program for youth. He said such efforts ensure a bright future for Pakistan.

It was previously reported that students taking IT courses through Governor House must also pass an exam conducted by the University of Karachi to receive a certificate.
A spokesperson for the University of Karachi issued a statement saying that certain mandatory conditions must be met to obtain the certificate.
According to the spokesperson, an agreement was made between the University of Karachi and Governor House regarding certification, but it has not yet been implemented. Completing the course alone is not enough; specific conditions have been set.
The spokesperson explained that the agreement requires approval from the university’s Academic Council before it can take effect. Candidates must have at least an intermediate-level education. The University of Karachi will conduct a test for candidates, and only those who pass the test will be eligible for the certificate.
