According to the report, on the evening of Sunday, March 30, 2025 (29 Ramadan), the moon will be over 26 hours old at sunset. This is more than the minimum 18 hours needed to sight the crescent.

Also, the time difference between sunset and moonset will be at least 40 minutes in various cities of Pakistan, which will help in sighting the moon.

Khalid Ijaz Mufti added that if the sky is clear in any part of Pakistan on the evening of March 30, 2025, the moon can be easily sighted. However, the final decision on moon sighting will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
