ISLAMABAD: The 17th meeting of the ICT Employees Social Security Institution’s governing body was held under the chairmanship of CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
District administration officials, the Social Security Commissioner, and other senior officers attended the meeting. Several agenda items were discussed, including the approval of amendments to the Social Security Act.
The Social Security Commissioner gave a detailed briefing on various matters during the meeting. The meeting approved death grants and marriage grants for the families of employees who passed away during service.
It was also decided to set up a Staff Welfare Fund for the well-being of disabled persons. Additionally, instructions were given to hire a transaction advisor for joint venture projects.

Keeping workers’ welfare in mind, the meeting approved a Hajj policy. Under this policy, workers employed for more than seven years will be eligible to apply for Hajj.
It was also decided to include top and standard hospitals in Islamabad on the panel for better treatment of employees and their families.
These hospitals include PAF Hospital, Fauji Foundation, Nescom Hospital, KRL Hospital, and Punjab Social Security Hospital. The CDA Chairman directed the Member Finance to review the contract rates and discounts of all panel hospitals to ensure better facilities for employees.
Another important decision was the approval of staff for the recently built Humak Model Town Social Security Medical Centre.
This will provide better healthcare services to employees and their families in the area. All decisions made in the meeting aim to improve employee welfare and make the social security system more effective.
