ECP Holds Emergency Meeting After Supreme Court Ruling

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has called an emergency meeting on Wednesday to discuss the Supreme Court’s recent ruling to hold elections for the Punjab Assembly on May 14.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, will be held at the Election Commission Secretariat at 11:00 am.

According to a senior official of the electoral body, the commission will examine the SC order from various angles and assess its directives and recommendations. Additionally, the election schedule for the Punjab Assembly’s general election will be discussed.
