ISLAMABAD: Rumors are circulating on social media that Pakistani showbiz actress Mawra Hocane has tied the knot with her close friend and fellow actor Ameer Gilani.
Mawra , 32, and Ameer , 28, won audiences’ hearts with their performances in the drama Sabaat in 2020 and later in Neem in 2023.
The duo is often seen together at events, both on and off-screen. They have also studied law from foreign universities.
Fans have long hoped to see their favorite on-screen pair become a real-life couple. It seems this wish might soon come true.

Various social media pages claim the two are set to tie the knot this month (February), with an official announcement expected soon. However, neither Mawra Hocane nor Ameer Gilani has confirmed the news.
Meanwhile, an Instagram page has claimed that the actress got married yesterday. In a past interview, Mawra praised Ameer Gilani, calling him a wonderful person and her close friend. She mentioned that two friends can choose to marry each other.
Gilani, in another interview, shared that he seeks a life partner who can be his best friend. He added that traditional husband-wife roles do not matter to him, nor does the age difference between partners.
It is worth mentioning that recently a social media page claimed that three showbiz weddings, including that of Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed, are expected in February 2025.
A short viral video from entertainment journalist Momin Ali Munshi and Iman’s vlog also claimed that three actresses from the drama industry are planning weddings next month.
