KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province on February 5, 2025 marking Kashmir Day. A notification has also been issued in this regard.
According to the notification, all government, semi-government offices, and educational institutions in Sindh will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5.
The notification said that in Sindh, one minute of silence will be observed at 10:00 am to honor the Kashmiri Shaheed for all offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the government, except for essential services.
Every year, Pakistanis observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5. On this day, human chains are formed on roads connecting Pakistan with Kashmir and other important places, along with rallies and processions.

Pakistanis and Kashmiris living around the world observe Solidarity Day as a special day. This day was first celebrated in 1990, when the Government of Pakistan gave special importance to it to highlight the struggle of the Kashmiri people at the international level.
