ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has decided to form a new force at the district level, similar to the police, this force will handle crime investigations, transport criminals to courts, and perform other tasks as directed by the government.
Separate police stations will be created for the force, and the government will be able to increase the number of force stations as needed. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regulatory Force Act 2025 will be presented in the assembly today for the establishment of the force.
Under the act, the force will be formed at the district level and will have a separate uniform. There will be fines and punishment for the unauthorized use of the regulatory force’s uniform. The force will also have the authority to seize property used in crimes.

According to the Regulatory Force Act issued by the government, the provincial government is establishing a separate regulatory force for the investigation of crimes and related matters, which has been named the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regulatory Force Act 2025.
The regulatory authority will be established at the district level, and the head office of the regulatory force will be in Peshawar.
On other news, KPK has prepared a law to dismiss employees hired during the caretaker government’s term. According to media reports, the provincial government will present the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Employees (Dismissal from Job) Bill 2025 to the assembly for approval.

The bill, if approved, will lead to the dismissal of over 16,000 employees hired in various departments during the caretaker government before the general elections.
These appointments had faced objections from government members in the provincial assembly. In response, the Chief Minister formed an investigative committee. After reviewing legal hurdles, the government decided to proceed with the law.
