RAWALPINDI: In an interview with a private TV channel, Army Major General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, the spokesperson of Pakistan Army (DG ISPR), emphasized that no officers have submitted their resignations.
He emphatically stated that the notion of imposing martial law in the country is out of the question.He further asserted that the army stands united under the guidance of General Asim Munir, the Army Chief.
Addressing the attempts by both internal and external elements to disrupt the army’s unity, the DG ISPR stated that such endeavors would remain futile, as the dream of dividing the army is nothing more than a mere illusion.
He reiterated that no resignations have been tendered, and no orders have been reversed.
Responding to a query, the DG ISPR confirmed that General Asim Munir, along with the senior military leadership, wholeheartedly supports democracy and will continue to do so.
