Karachi’s peoples bus service announces limited operations for 9th & 10th Muharram

KARACHI: The Karachi Peoples Bus Service has stated that it will suspend operations on certain routes on the 9th and 10th of  Muharram-ul-Haram .

As per announcement, the Peoples Bus Service will suspend operations throughout Karachi, with the exception of the route from Malir Halt to Super Highway, which will continue to operate during these days.

Karachi traffic police Issue plan for 8-10th Muharram processions

A day earlier, the city’s traffic police released a traffic management plan for processions on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram.

According to the issued traffic plan, on the 8th of Muharram, a procession will commence from Nishtar Park and conclude at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.

Muhammad Ali (MA) Jinnah Road will be closed from Gurumandir to Tower for security reasons.

The procession will go through Nishtar Park, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Mehfil-i-Shah-i-Khurasan, MA Jinnah Road (point a), Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, Tibet Chowk, Baba-e-Urdu, Nishtar Road, Bara Imam, MA Jinnah Road (point b), Altaf Hussain Road, Bolton Market, MA Jinnah Road (point c), Nawaz Mahabat Khanjee Road, Bombay Bazar, Kharadar Police Station, and end at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.

On the 9th of Muharram (Tuesday), a procession will depart from Martin Road Imambargah, Liaquatabad at 9am. It will arrive at Nishtar Park by 12pm, where a Majlis will be held.

Afterwards, the procession will proceed from Nishtar Park to Hussainian Iranian Imambargah, Kharadar, via Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Mehfil-i-Shah-i-Khurasan, MA Jinnah Road (point a), Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, Tibet Chowk, MA Jinnah Road (point b), Bolton Market, Bombay Bazaar, Kharadar, Nawaz Mahabat Khanjee Road, and then to Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.
