ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Market Committee has released the latest price list for vegetables, fruits, and other essential food items for today (30-01-2025), reflecting the most recent market rates as of Thursday, 30 January 2025.
The price list includes key kitchen staples such as tomatoes, onions, potatoes, garlic, and ginger, categorized into two quality grades—Grade 1 and Grade 2.
In recent weeks, the prices of tomatoes, cabbage, and cauliflower have dropped considerably, bringing much-needed relief to consumers. Additionally, carrots, potatoes, and ginger are currently available at very reasonable prices, lower than usual, providing further affordability for households.
To ensure transparency and fair pricing, the list is updated daily. Consumers are encouraged to check the official rates before making purchases to avoid being overcharged. Any cases of overpricing or discrepancies should be reported to the relevant authorities for immediate action.
Meanwhile, kinnow is widely available as it is now fully ripened in farms. Grade A kinnow is being sold at around 335 to 355 per dozen. In some supermarkets and parts of the country, it is sold by weight (kilogram), while elsewhere, it is sold by the dozen. Smaller-sized and average-quality kinnow are available at lower prices, offering options for all consumers.
