The government has imposed section 144 across seven districts of the province from Muharram 1 to 10 to ensure strict security measures and prevent any untoward incidents.

Earlier this month, the federal government approved the deployment of the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces (CAF) nationwide to ensure security during Muharram.

The Ministry of Interior issued a notification stating that the government had requested military deployment to maintain law and order across the country.
