Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is set to marry Zaheer Iqbal, her boyfriend, on June 23rd. Shatrughan Sinha, her father, has responded to the speculation regarding the family’s attendance at the wedding.
Several reports indicated that Sonakshi’s family, particularly her father, might not attend her wedding. Nevertheless, the actor-turned-politician has addressed these rumors.
In a recent interview with an Indian media outlet, he expressed his pride in his daughter and affirmed his presence to bless her at the wedding.
The seasoned actor referred to himself as her steadfast source of support. Sinha emphasized that those spreading rumors about family tension should focus on their own affairs.
He questioned, “Whose life is it anyway? It’s the life of my beloved daughter Sonakshi, whom I am incredibly proud of and deeply attached to. She considers me her pillar of strength. I will definitely be present at the wedding. Why wouldn’t I?”
Shatrughan praised his daughter’s choice and remarked that they make a handsome couple. He further stated, “The fact that I am still in Mumbai signifies that I am not just her support but her true protector as well. Sonakshi and Zaheer are embarking on their journey together.”
“They appear very well-matched,” he added, using his iconic dialogue to convey his joy. He concluded with a caution in his signature style: “Khamosh, it’s none of your business. Focus solely on your own affairs.”
As per Indian media report, Sonakshi and Zaheer are anticipated to undergo a court marriage on June 23 according to the Special Marriage Act. Previously, a wedding invitation featuring voice notes from the couple spread widely on social media, sparking various speculations about the event. This marks the first occasion a member of Sonakshi’s family has made a supportive statement regarding her wedding in the media.
