ISLAMABAD: Under the direct supervision of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Clean Federal Capital City Islamabad Mission was effectively accomplished on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha 2024.
Through a collaborative effort between Islamabad Police and Safe City Islamabad, Islamabad has achieved Zero Waste status.
According to the report, more than 750 tons of waste were disposed of on the second day of Eid ul Azha.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa has reported that a total of 2507 tons of animal waste has been eliminated in the operation thus far.
Randhawa mentioned that on the second day of Eid, 45 cleanliness-related complaints were received and promptly resolved.
Sanitation teams conducted patrols throughout the city, covering green belts, open spaces, drains, and forest areas to maintain cleanliness.
The CDA Chairman remarked that in addition to disposing of animal waste, the cleanliness of the city has been effectively ensured.
