Maryam Nawaz announces cash prize for Eid cleanup staff

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared a cash reward equivalent to one month’s salary for the staff who took part in the three-day Operation Cleanup during Eid-ul-Azha 2024.

Commending her team’s efforts, she stated that officers and staff across all municipal departments and solid waste management companies have set a new benchmark in public service, particularly amidst the current intense heatwave.

Maryam Nawaz praised her team and remarked that the vision of achieving a ‘Clean Punjab’ is now materializing.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz and her team for their outstanding cleanliness efforts and public service throughout the three days of Eidul Adha.

In his message of appreciation, the Prime Minister remarked “Great job, Punjab! Great job, Maryam Nawaz.” Shehbaz Sharif praised the team’s commendable effort despite the blistering heat.

The Prime Minister expressed optimism that this level of public service will not only be upheld but also enhanced.
