Islamabad Health Authorities Suspend Licenses of Four Pharmacies for Drug Law Violations

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad health authorities on Tuesday suspended the licenses of four pharmacies and medical stores for two weeks and instructed drug inspectors to seal these businesses immediately for violating drug laws, As Per Media Report.

An official of the Quality Control Board, Islamabad, said the board in its 56th meeting, presided over by Syed Moazam Ali, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of National Health Services Regulation, approved the suspension of licenses of four pharmacies and medical stores for violating the Drugs Act, 1976 and the DRAP Act, 2012.

He stated that the licenses of the pharmacies were suspended for two weeks, and drug inspectors were instructed to seal them immediately.

The concerned distributors have been directed to immediately stop the supplies of drugs to these establishments during the suspension period, he said, adding that the surprise visits and surveillance has been enhanced and strict action shall be initiated against the pharmacies found violating any provision of the law.
