ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that no talks have been held between Pakistan and India regarding the resumption of bilateral trade.

During the weekly press briefing in Islamabad, the FO spokesperson stated that Pakistan suspended bilateral trade with India following its illegal and unilateral actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in 2019.

She recalled that several measures, including the suspension of trade, were taken after the Indian government illegally annexed IIOJK by revoking Article 370 of its constitution on August 5, 2019. “This situation remains unchanged,” she emphasized.

The primary purpose of observing the day is to expose Indian atrocities and express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.

Condemning the killing of four Kashmiri youth by Indian occupation forces in Doda district, spokesperson said this brutal act was yet another example of Indias illegal and oppressive actions against the Kashmiri people.

Baloch called on the international community to act quickly and firmly to hold India responsible for its serious human rights violations in IIOJK and to take action to protect the rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people.
