PESHAWAR: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF), reiterated his commitment to persist in the struggle against what he labeled as the “fraudulent February 8 elections” and subsequent “illegitimate governments.”

“We completely reject the outcomes of the February 8 polls. Our stance is supported by substantial evidence. Despite facing threats and coercion, we refuse to remain silent.

The assemblies in Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, formed through manipulated elections, do not represent the will of the people,” he asserted during a public gathering aimed at protesting against the alleged election irregularities. The gathering, held on Dilzak Road, attracted a significant number of attendees.

“These assemblies merely serve the interests of the establishment, not the populace. They are viewed as a humiliation by the nation, and we adamantly refuse to accept this insult,” Fazl declared.

He also voiced opposition to the integration of tribal areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming that his advocacy for the Palestinian cause led to repercussions. “My advocacy for Palestine and my visit to Qatar to meet Palestinian leaders resulted in our exclusion from parliament,” he asserted.

Fazl announced that the next gathering would take place on June 1 in Muzaffargarh, Punjab.

Other speakers echoed similar sentiments, asserting that Imran Khan did not represent the interests of the nation or its institutions, but rather served as a proxy for the international establishment.
