ISLAMABAD: Under the guidance of former president Asif Ali Zardari, the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) intends to engage with political entities and individuals for discussions both prior to and following the upcoming general elections slated for February 8 next year.
This initiative follows Zardari’s establishment of a committee within his party aimed at initiating communication with various parties and figures in an effort to encourage dialogue as the nation approaches the 2024 general polls.
According to a notification from the PPPP, the committee will include representatives from all four provinces. From Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary General PPP Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Secretary Information PPP Faisal Karim Kundi, Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, and Sajid Toori have been designated as committee members.
Representatives from Sindh include Saeed Ghani and Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, while Chengez Khan Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar, and Sabir Ali Baloch will represent Balochistan.
Upon reaching out, Secretary Information PPP Kundi affirmed the formation of the committee to engage in discussions with political parties and individuals, delineating a comprehensive strategy for this purpose.
