Karachi Traffic Plan (Schedule) for April 23, 2024: Ahead of the impending arrival of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Karachi, the Traffic Police of the city have devised a traffic plan for April 23, aimed at guaranteeing the safety of the public and ensuring smooth traffic flow.
According to the plan, some roads will be closed for a short time because of the important visit.
The traffic police said that Club Road will be completely closed from PIDC to Metropole. Also, Ziauddin Road will be closed from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC, and completely closed from the traffic light to PIDC Chowk.
To help drivers find their way, people driving from Sultanabad Road should use Dr. Ziauddin Road to get to Ivan Sadar Road through Khajoor Chowk. For people driving from Shahrae Faisal to Sultanabad, they should turn left at Club Chowk.
Also, people driving from Khaliq-ul-Zaman Road and Ghazri should turn right at the Ziauddin traffic light toward Fawara Chowk and Awan Sadar. Similarly, people coming from Shaheen Complex should turn right at Khajoor Chowk.
These road closures are because the Iranian President is visiting from April 22 to April 24. This is the first time a foreign leader is visiting Pakistan after the recent general elections. President Raisi will meet important leaders, visit Lahore and Karachi, and talk with provincial authorities.
Because of this special visit, April 23 is a public holiday in Karachi. The authorities are watching closely to make sure everything goes smoothly and everyone stays safe during the visit.
