LAHORE: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to the Sikh community residing in Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of Baisakhi.
In a statement, the prime minister affirmed that the Government of Pakistan, along with all provincial administrations, is committed to providing necessary facilities to Sikh pilgrims visiting their religious sites in Pakistan to observe their spiritual practices.
Highlighting Baisakhi as a celebration symbolizing the vibrancy of spring and an opportunity for the exchange of sentiments such as love, affection, and happiness, the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, in a press release, quoted the prime minister.
He expressed pride in Pakistan’s rich diversity of faiths and cultures, with Baisakhi further enhancing this beauty. “On this auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, I extend to you all messages of love, affection, and peace. Let us all contribute to the construction of a peaceful world,” he remarked.
