RAWALPINDI: Security forces carried out an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday, resulting in the killing of a terrorist, as per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

The operation involved a significant exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists, leading to the demise of terrorist Muhammad Sohail. Sohail had been actively involved in various terrorist activities, including attacks on law enforcement agencies and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.

A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure there are no other terrorists present in the area. The local community has praised the operation and expressed full support for efforts to eradicate terrorism.
