ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reiterated on Thursday that it does not require external guidance on electoral matters and remains committed to its constitutional obligations.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reaffirmed this stance during a weekly briefing in response to inquiries regarding concerns raised by various nations, including the United States, regarding the electoral process.
The US had urged Pakistan to address complaints regarding the election results.
In response to a query, the spokesperson stated, “We are diligently fulfilling our constitutional duties. External advice regarding elections is unnecessary.”
