KASUR: Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and former Prime Minister, said on Tuesday that if his government hadn’t been removed, Pakistan would have progressed significantly. He emphasized that individuals involved in fraudulent activities should be barred from returning to power as they have tarnished Pakistan’s reputation.

Speaking at a rally in Kasur on the final day of the election campaign nationwide, Nawaz Sharif stated confidently that if his administration had remained intact, unemployment would not have been an issue, ensuring dignified employment for all. He outlined plans for Pakistan’s future, including providing solar panels to farmers, distributing laptops to youth, and offering vocational training along with job opportunities.

Nawaz criticized the failures of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, alleging that their promises of housing, employment, and infrastructure projects remained unfulfilled, causing significant losses to the country. He stressed the need to overcome setbacks and strive for progress to restore Pakistan’s status as an Asian Tiger, highlighting the developmental achievements during his tenure.

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz urged PTI youth to set aside political animosity for the country’s betterment, recounting the challenges faced by her family due to political victimization. She emphasized the need to move past divisive politics.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted Nawaz Sharif’s commitment to national development projects and criticized the performance of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Sindh, particularly their failure to improve Karachi despite promises of transformation. He also noted Nawaz Sharif’s refusal to vilify the army chief despite being ousted from power.
