ISLAMABAD: The government has officially announced a reduction of Rs 8 per liter in the price of petrol.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Finance, it was revealed that the Government of Pakistan has decided to implement the reduction in the price of petrol starting from January 16, 2024, based on the recommendations provided by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
As per the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been decreased by Rs 8 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel will remain unchanged.
Effective January 16, 2024, the revised price of petrol stands at Rs 259.34 per liter, whereas the price of high-speed diesel remains constant at Rs 276.21 per liter, as indicated in the notification.
These adjusted prices for petroleum products will be in effect from January 16, 2024, for the succeeding 15 days.
