ISLAMABAD: The one-year performance report of Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar has been released. Judge Dilawar, who presided over the Gender Based Violation Court, was later transferred to a new court. He served in the Gender Discrimination Court from April 1, 2022, to April 13, 2023.
During this period, he handled a total of 1322 cases and achieved a target of 1235 points for case disposition.
According to the report, Judge Dilawar earned 1717 points by effectively hearing cases and delivering judgments. Within the year, he adjudicated 114 cases at the trial stage, leading to the sentencing of 7 criminals to death and 11 others to life imprisonment in the Gender Based Violation Court.
Notably, some of the high-profile cases in Judge Dilawar’s court include the Farishta Bibi murder case and the trial of a Swedish woman’s rape by a security guard.
