Popular YouTuber Nadir Ali has publicly expressed remorse after facing backlash for his line of questioning regarding religious conversion during a recent podcast interview with actress Sunita Marshall.

During the podcast, which took place several days ago, Nadir broached the topic of children’s religious beliefs, eventually leading to inquiries about Marshall’s own potential conversion. As the conversation progressed, Nadir continued with probing questions that made the actress visibly uncomfortable.

In response to the uncomfortable encounter, Sunita Marshall initially believed it was necessary to address the issue. However, social media users wasted no time in vehemently criticizing Nadir, with some even calling for the cancellation of his show.

Following the intense criticism, Nadir Ali issued a public apology through a statement posted on his social media platforms. He clarified that his intention during the podcast was not to cause any harm to Sunita Marshall or anyone else. Rather, his inquiries about her potential acceptance of Islam stemmed from a genuine interest. Nadir emphasized that religion is a personal choice and affirmed his respect for individuals of all faiths.

Furthermore, the YouTuber expressed his desire, shared by millions of Muslims worldwide, for people of different religions to willingly embrace Islam. However, he acknowledged that if his words had caused any distress, he wholeheartedly apologized for the unintended consequences.

Meanwhile, in response to Nadir’s controversial questions about conversion, Sunita Marshall took to social media to express gratitude for the support she received and address the criticism directed towards the host. She thanked her supporters and urged them to refrain from harassing Nadir any further. Additionally, Marshall addressed all future interview hosts, appealing to them not to delve into such personal matters during their discussions.

It is worth noting that Sunita Marshall is a Christian by faith, while her husband, actor Hasan Ahmed, practices Islam.
