ISLAMABAD: In a recent announcement, the Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) stated that all schools would be closed on May 25 to observe “Martyrs’ Respect Day”.

Kashif Mirza, President of APPSF, confirmed that the board exams would proceed as scheduled, while regular classes would resume on May 26 as planned.

Mirza further revealed that summer vacations nationwide would commence from June 15 until August 14. Schools are set to reopen on August 15, following the vacation period.

Meanwhile, in the province of Sindh, summer vacations are scheduled to begin on June 1 and conclude on July 31, as announced by the president.

In related news, the federal government has expressed its complete involvement in the upcoming Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan. Reports from reliable sources suggest that rallies have been organized for the occasion.

According to Private TV channel, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lead one of the rallies, and there is a possibility of the federal government declaring a public holiday.

The declaration of Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan follows the announcement by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir a day earlier, designating May 25 as “Pakistan Martyrs’ Day.”
