In a recent announcement, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs, revealed the government’s plan to reintroduce the laptop scheme under the Prime Minister Youth Program.

The scheme, which aims to provide 100,000 laptops to the youth, was discontinued by the previous government, leading to regret over the missed opportunities for education and remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The laptops distributed by the previous government were lauded for their role in enabling continuity amidst challenging circumstances.
