ISLAMABAD: In a significant development, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced its decision to establish a new Blue Area in Zone One, adjacent to GT Road and Margalla Avenue.
This upcoming development, to be named Central Business District, aims to complement the existing Main Blue Area and boost economic growth in the region.
Hiring of Consultant Firm Approved
The decision was taken during a recent CDA Board meeting, where the hiring of a consultant firm for the planning and engineering design preparation for the project was approved. Emphasizing the importance of the venture, the board opted to enlist the services of a government firm.
Land Acquisition and Construction Plans
CDA has acquired approximately 2,000 kanals of land in the northern part of Sector C-sixteen, which serves as the proposed site for the new project. Strategically positioned along GT Road, this land will accommodate the construction of multi-storied apartments, specifically targeted for sale to foreign Pakistanis. Furthermore, the development plan includes the establishment of state-of-the-art shopping malls.
Stimulating Economic Activity and Growth
The creation of the Central Business District is anticipated to stimulate economic activity in the area, fostering growth and prosperity. With its prime location and modern infrastructure, this new blue area is poised to become a thriving hub for commerce, attracting local and international businesses alike.
