ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Noor Ul Amin Mengal, has expressed deep concern over the allocation of government-acquired land to unrelated individuals instead of the rightful owners.
He has instructed for a case to be registered against the officials responsible for exhibiting criminal negligence and carelessness in this matter.
Furthermore, he has directed the initiation of legal proceedings for the immediate recovery of the land from the responsible officers.
The Chairman of CDA received a complaint regarding the non-payment of compensation to the genuine victims of Moza Noon. In response, he formed a two-member inquiry committee to thoroughly investigate the issue.
Following a comprehensive investigation, the inquiry committee concluded that the land compensation, meant for the actual victims, was disbursed to other individuals by the CDA’s land payment section.
This failure to provide compensation to the rightful recipients has resulted in significant financial losses for the authority.
According to reliable sources, the involvement of Ashiq Hussain Shah, an officer from the unit, and Zeeshan Majeed, a cashier, has been established in this case.
