The new decision also allows candidates to attempt the CSS exam up to five times, one more than the current limit of four.

Lawmakers encouraged the government to apply these changes quickly so candidates can prepare their applications in time.

The CSS exam is an academic pathway for young graduates and professionals aiming for top federal jobs in areas like administration, foreign affairs, customs, and other services.

Previously, only those aged 30 or younger could take the exam. The new 35-year age limit and extra attempt are meant to give more people the opportunity to prepare and participate.
