The pilgrims were traveling with a private travel agency from Dahrnwala to perform Umrah. They had left Pakistan a few days earlier. Saudi authorities are identifying the deceased and injured.

Such accidents involving Pakistani pilgrims are not uncommon in Saudi Arabia, prompting both governments to consider measures to prevent future incidents.

Treatment of the injured continues, and efforts are underway to contact the families of the deceased and arrange their travel to Saudi Arabia.
