ISLAMABAD: The Google Wallet app is now available in Pakistan, according to private media reports. It is a digital wallet app that allows you to store payment cards, boarding passes, and other items on your phone.
Reports say Google Wallet makes payments easier, safer, and more useful for people. It can also store digital items like loyalty cards and boarding passes. Users can download the app from the Google Play Store to get started.
Farhan Qureshi, Country Director for Google Pakistan, said, “Pakistan’s digital payment system is growing fast. As more people use digital transactions, Google Wallet offers a secure and simple way to pay, shop, and travel.”
He added, “It lets Pakistanis tap to pay in stores, check out online easily, and access boarding passes when traveling.”
He also said, “Google Wallet keeps everything in one place, wherever users go. This launch will help include more people in financial services and create economic opportunities in Pakistan.”
Qureshi continued, “This step shows Google’s commitment to Pakistan and its belief in the country’s digital future.”
Starting today, people with cards from Bank AlFalah, Bank of Punjab, Faysal Bank Noor, HBL, Jazzcash, Meezan Bank, and UBL can add them to Google Wallet. They can use their Android phones or Wear OS devices to pay wherever contactless payments are accepted.
