RAWALPINDI: All education boards across Punjab will announce the results of the annual Matric examinations on July 24, 2025 (Thursday).
According to a private TV channel, sources confirmed that all Punjab boards will release the results at the same time. The final date was decided during a meeting of the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) held on June 14.
The announcement of Matric exam results across Punjab has been delayed due to the incomplete marking of papers, according to education officials. The delay has slowed down the result preparation process, but officials say efforts are underway to complete the marking on time.
The written exams for classes 9 and 10 ended on April 18, while practical exams were completed on May 15, 2025. Thousands of students are eagerly waiting for their results, which are important for choosing the next step in their education.
The marks will help students decide whether to pursue science, commerce, or arts in intermediate studies. Many students will also apply for college or technical institute admissions based on their results.

Islamic Studies Paper Cancelled by Rawalpindi Board
Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has cancelled the Islamic Studies paper of HSSC Part I due to student complaints that many questions were out of syllabus.
Following student protests and reports from exam staff, the board decided to cancel the paper in the interest of students. The cancelled paper will now be re-conducted on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, for the first group, at the same exam centre and with the same roll numbers.
Parents and teachers have appreciated the decision, stating that including questions outside the syllabus is unfair and discouraging for students. They urged examination boards to prepare papers strictly within the syllabus to respect students’ efforts.
