The fire broke out around 8:30 AM due to a short circuit. Latif Akash said that when he opened the room door, he found Dr Akash lying on the floor. While trying to enter, he also suffered burns on his feet. The fire spread quickly, engulfing the entire house. Later, Dr Akash’s body was recovered.

Police sent the body to Liaquat University Hospital for post-mortem. After the medical examination, his body was handed over to the family. Dr Akash’s remains were then sent to his hometown, Badin, for burial.
