ISLAMABAD: The passenger coach service from Quetta to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been suspended. Coach owners parked their vehicles on Airport.
As per the media report, Officials from the All Balochistan Coach Service said they had to suspend operations due to extortion and insecurity on national highways.
The coach owners highlighted that terrorists set a private bus on fire in Sherani three days ago. They expressed sorrow over the loss of life and demanded compensation for the damaged bus. They also called on the government to ensure the safety of transporters.
Officials stated that crime is rampant on Balochistan’s highways, especially in Zhob, Sherani, and Loralai. They added that Dera Ismail Khan has become a no-go area where transport services cannot operate even during the day.

Report Say Transporters warned that if their demands were not met, they would completely block transport services in Balochistan.
They urged the government to improve border control to stop smuggling. They also complained that elderly passengers and women are being harassed under the guise of anti-smuggling checks.
The officials criticized the toll plaza at Qila Saifullah, calling it unjustified since there is no proper road infrastructure. They warned that if harassment of buses in Punjab continued, they would block Punjab buses from entering Balochistan.
Coach owners directed drivers to strictly follow the SOPs. They warned that any driver violating rules would be dismissed from their job.
