PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has postponed the Matriculation and Intermediate 2025 annual examinations in the province in view of Ramadan.
According to a private newspaper report, the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has ordered all education boards to postpone the matriculation examinations and issued instructions to conduct these examinations in April after Ramadan.
Report say the annual matriculation examinations in the province were scheduled for March 5, but after the postponement, they will now begin on April 8.
Chairman of the Peshawar Board, Nasrullah Khan, said that the provincial government has given orders to conduct the examinations in April, after which it has been decided to hold the annual matriculation examinations on April 8.

He said that the announcement will be issued during the meeting of the chairmen of all education boards this week.
Government sources said that the intermediate examinations in the province will now begin on May 7 instead of April 10.
Meanwhile, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced scholarships for students from underprivileged districts.
Speaking in Peshawar, he said the provincial government will provide an additional Rs 100 million for the scholarships.
He added that the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund has been increased to Rs 2.4 billion. The government has also allocated Rs 2 billion to launch an Education Card in the province.
