ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration has launched a new mobile app called ‘City Islamabad’ to make it easier for citizens to check their arms licenses. The app aims to improve transparency and convenience.
A spokesperson for the ICT administration said the app allows users to verify their arms licenses by entering their ID card number and license number, this process helps confirm if the license is valid.
City app simplifies the verification process, saving people time by removing the need to visit government offices in person.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, encouraged residents to use the app to check their arms licenses, he also warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found with illegal weapons or fake licenses.

App is designed to make the arms license process more transparent and user-friendly, Islamabad district administration hopes this step will improve public services and make it easier for citizens to engage with the government.
On the other news, Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has shared plans for improving Islamabad’s infrastructure and promoting tourism.
Speaking to a private news channel, he said the goal is to turn Islamabad into a modern city, improving life for residents and attracting more tourists.
He added that major infrastructure projects and tourism development initiatives are part of his vision for the city’s long-term growth and progress.
