ISLAMABAD: IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, expressed disappointment over the performance of some police officers and ordered strict action against them.
In an official order, he announced that SDPO Sabzi Mandi has been awarded the punishment of close line and issued a charge sheet due to poor performance. DSP Ramna has also been suspended and issued a charge sheet for his very poor performance.
IG Islamabad also issued a show-cause notice to SHO Aabpara for his poor performance, placing him under close observation.
On the other hand, SHO Sumbal and In-charge Investigation Sumbal were rewarded with one lakh rupees each and honored with Certificates of Excellence for their excellent performance. DSP Investigation Abdul Sattar was given a Certificate of Appreciation for his good performance.
IG Islamabad stated that strict action will be taken against officers showing poor performance in public dealing and crime fighting. He made it clear that actions like not patrolling, failing to arrest wanted criminals, not tracing cases, and not meeting the standards of professional policing will lead to penalties.
As per report, IG Syed Ali Nasser Rizvi also said that officers who show excellent performance will be rewarded. He urged officers to focus on crime fighting and perform their duties well.
IG Islamabad mentioned that a weekly performance review meeting will be held, and only those officers who perform well will remain in their positions. He directed DIG Islamabad and SSP Operations to meet with all officers individually. IG Islamabad concluded by saying that the process of strict accountability for negligent officers will continue.

In another development, DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza has taken notice of Dolphin Squad officials harassing a family in Sector F-11. Dolphin Squad officials Aqib, Ali Haider, and Talha have been dismissed from service.
These officials harassed a family during a routine check. Upon receiving the complaint, they were suspended and an inquiry was ordered. After being found guilty in the inquiry, they were dismissed from service. DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza emphasized that no leniency will be shown to officials who abuse their authority.
