ISLAMABAD: Important steps have been taken by DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza to make the accountability process in Islamabad Police more stringent and effective.
Under these steps, SHOs of four police stations have been punished for negligence in their duties and failure to effectively control crimes.
According to the information provided by the Islamabad police spokesperson, the three-year service of SHO Noon Police Station has been forfeited, and his one-year promotion has also been stopped.
Similarly, SHO Shams Colony Police Station, SHO Sabzi Mandi Police Station, and SHO Secretariat Police Station have also been sentenced to two years of service forfeiture.

In addition, an official of Dolphin Force has been dismissed from service on a complaint of bribery, so that a strong stand can be taken against corruption.
DIG Syed Ali Raza clarified in this regard that there is no place for officers who are corrupt or negligent in their duties in Islamabad Police. He further said that the police department is following the process of self-accountability and that no one is above the law.
DIG Islamabad also said that if any police officer misuses his powers or neglects his duty, strict legal and departmental action will be taken against him. The aim of this move is to bring police officers under the accountability process and provide better services to the public.
