ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: Rajender Mahegwar, the first Hindu PSP officer in the country’s history, has started performing his duties after being posted in Faisalabad.
As per media report, Rajender Mahegwar, who has been posted as ASP in Faisalabad Police Gulberg Circle, belongs to the Badin district of Sindh. Rajendra joined the police group after passing the CSS examination.
Rajender Mahegwar, who has been posted as ASP, says, “I am very happy that the dream of serving the people has become a reality. By staying in the police department, we can solve the problems of the people, which we cannot do in the rest of the departments. I do not think that while living in the rest of the departments, we can do so much on-ground work for the people of the community.”
On the other hand, for the first time since the formation of Punjab Police, police officials are optimistic about the appointment of a Hindu youth as ASP in Faisalabad.
