ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of Education has extended the summer holidays for Islamabad educational institutions until August 4, 2024 citing the heat wave and hibernation period.
As per notification, issued by the Federal Ministry of Education, government educational institutions will remain closed until August 4 and will reopen on August 5.
The Federal Ministry of Education has issued a notification to extend the vacations in educational institutions. Earlier, the Sindh government also announced the extension of summer vacations.
It should be noted that earlier, the education authorities of the federal capital had announced summer vacations from June 10 for schools, colleges, and universities in Islamabad.
In the notification, it was stated that educational institutions would be closed from June 10 to July 31 due to the summer vacation.
In other news, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC) Limited have jointly introduced the ‘Throw and Grow’ initiative to enhance greenery in Islamabad’s renowned Margalla Hills.
This campaign aims to engage hikers and visitors in contributing to the region’s ecological growth, said a news release.
